What plastics are recyclable?

Here's an easy way to identify the proper plastics to put in your recycling bag: Check for the neck! A bottle or jar with an opening that is smaller than the base is usually acceptable for recycling.
(Milk jugs, water/soda bottles, laundry detergent, etc...)

Recycling Plastic Is Easy!
Here's How...

Step 1: Recycle all plastic bottles and
               jars with an opening smaller
               than the base.

Step 2: Remove and throw away
              caps, lids, and spray pumps.

Step 3: Empty the contents.
               Remove labels if possible.
               A light rinse is sufficient.

Step 4: Crush plastic bottles by
              CAREFULLY stepping on
them so that they take up
              less room in your recycling
              bag.

Step 5: Place uncapped and flattened
              empty bottles into your
              recycling bags along with
              your other recyclables.

What Happens to the Recyclables?

The recyclables are shipped to the mill and then are made into many items like chairs, bottles, deck lumber, toys and much more.
